Finantsinspektsioon issues and withdraws operating licences from fund managers and investment firms among others, and registers the contractual terms of investment and pension funds. An operating licence issued by Finantsinspektsioon does not have an expiry date.
From 18.03.2026, applications for an operating licence as a fund manager, small fund manager, investment firm, crowdfunding service provider, crypto asset service provider, or issuer of asset-referenced tokens and notifications of acquisition of significant participation in such businesses may only be submitted through the Finantsinspektsioon application portal.
Applications to register as a small fund manager operating without a licence must be submitted to Finantsinspektsioon in the usual way as a digitally signed application sent by email to [email protected], and not through the applications website.
