Finantsinspektsioon launched its testing sandbox in a new form on Monday that is designed to promote financial innovation and provide a free environment for companies to test new financial technology products and solutions in cooperation with Finantsinspektsioon
Member of the Finantsinspektsioon management board Siim Tammer said that the new testing environment would be more user-friendly and that it is now more tightly targeted at entities that come under financial supervision. “We are inviting companies to bring their new products and solutions to us for testing. This format lets us discuss more freely and in greater depth whether a new product or service is appropriate for the financial sector, and work together to find solutions to technological challenges”, he said.
The sandbox can be accessed by submitting an application form that serves as the basis for discussion of the options, goals and expected outcomes of the testing. The testing sandbox is run by Finantsinspektsioon’s Licensing and Innovation Department.
