The European Union's Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) will start to apply in Estonia on 17 January, and the requirements for companies operating in the European financial sector will consequently be harmonised.
The harmonised requirements will concern management of risks from ICT, notification of ICT incidents, testing of digital operational resilience, and control of ICT risks coming from third parties. All the key information and deadlines for the implementation and supervision of DORA can be found on the Finantsinspektsioon website www.fi.ee.
DORA is designed to prevent and minimise cyber threats, and it will also ensure the sustainability and reliability of financial sector systems and reduce risks that could hurt companies in the financial sector and their clients.
